Petroglyph Energy is doing a lot to mitigate these problems even though they say they didn't cause them. I hope the news outlets follow this story so we know what the results are for these people.

This has happened in Northern Colorado. I think they settled one problem and another cropped up. We will probably be having more and more problems between industry and people's land.
Colorado needs to make up its mind. If it wants more people to move in, then it needs to have water available. If Colorado wants more industry, then put a moratorium on building when and where. If the area was settled by homeowners first, then whatever industry moves in needs to make a complete study of the effects of their industry on the population. If the area is unpopulated, then ban homebuilding unless there will be no longterm effects on the population or the environment.
