To the extent that money reduces the stress of debt and provides for necessities, it increases happiness. But once those are met, it's more important for one's happiness to feel true appreciation for what one already has than to accumulate more.

Money is not happiness, but it does provide stability and peace of mind if used properly. Happiness is attitude.

If you currently have any money that is making you unhappy, you should send it to me, jonmaverick, and I will bear the burden of it for you. On my speedboat.

Happiness is in acquiring enough to live comfortably without worrying if I had enough to pay for the necessities in life and sharing that life with a loving partner.

I love the comment by the wise man. I too, do not need to be rich to enjoy life. I don't need, nor do I want a big house, big car, Rolex watches, etc., etc. My needs are simple. I want to play golf whenever, I want to go to a movie whenever, I want to eat out whenever, and I want to buy an ice cream when I want to.

We are not the admen's dream. I agree. If I don't need it, I don't buy it even if I can afford it.

            Money can't buy happiness?

You just don't know where to shop.
