    John Cougar Mellencamp has always been one of the best rockers. I was born in 1973. I remember 'Hurt so good' as an eight-year old. His music has always been consistent. The central theme of 'Rain on the Scarecrow' is a reality check. Many farmers battle with the elements of nature, and when the harvest is non-existent, many face losing their farms to the financial institutions.The banks don't care if you poured your heart and soul into your farming enterprise, they just care about making money. Another song,I thoroughly enjoy is ' Rumbleseat'.The song is infectious, and I can't sit still when listening to it. John Cougar Mellencamp has truly produced great music.
