Grilled cheese sandwich. Banana split. Fried chicken and coleslaw. These probably aren't the types of dishes one normally associates with Thomas Keller. But when he opened Ad Hoc - a "temporary" restaurant - just down the street from his famed French Laundry in Yountville, this sort of comfort food was his focus.
