are these tactics working?
fta:
"...on Sunday, he ripped the president for having “an out-of-this-world ego,” for being “very narcissistic,” “immature, inexperienced, in over his head.” (Isn’t immaturity scoring OxyContin from your maid?)
It gives new meaning to pot, kettle and black."-

I'd like to think those tactics aren't working. Rush has his fans that will follow him to the grave and who'll raise a ruckus that creates the illusion he has a following large enough to have an effect. But yesterday's result in New York's 23rd district, where the more conventional Republican candidate dropped out and a Limbaugh-approved third-party candidate was favored to win, suggests that uproar may have less power than its volume would appear.

This was a typical radical liberal rant that told a bunch of radical liberal lies.
Reply
"They spin certainty, ignoring their side’s screw-ups, and they exploit patriotism, labeling all critics as traitors."
Sounds like radical libs to me!!!
"Limbaugh accused the president of trying to destroy the economy "
The health care bill will have huge tax increases to try and make it more deficit neutral. Cap and trade will have taxes at the rate of $1,700+ per family of four per treasury estimates mostly on businesses. These huge taxes are business killers. So where is he wrong???? But then libs always love tax increases so they can spend more money in government programs.
"Asked about Afghanistan, another W. cataclysm that has left Obama agonizing, Limbaugh stated, “I also don’t think he cares much about it.”"
An executive is supposed to make decisions quickly. Especially when men's live are on the line. HIS GENERAL gave him a report about what is REQUIRED to win and what does he do but talk to political people. This is not a political decision except to pull out or do the job right. Dithering around like he has done has already cost men's lives and set back our ability to do anything quickly since winter is setting in.
"Barack Obama and the Democrat Party which actively sought the defeat of the U.S. military.” Actually, rigorously examining the government’s conduct of a war started on false pretenses is the best sort of patriotism."
Here is the liberal lie again. The war was started under false pretenses. In other words the radical lib slogan of "Bush lied and men died." This is the hate lie that libs just love. They point to the fact that there was no WMD found as proof. They ignore the WMD found in 2006 and later because they were not in good shape since they had not had the proper maintenance. Any way to ignore the truth is good enough for libs. Also the Clinton administration and congress along with the Bush administration and congress were saying the exact same thing that Hussein had WMD's. But somehow Bush had special secret knowledge. This is the output from the south end of a north bound bull. -

"I trust the experts, and to me they’re the people in the U.S. military.”

Even a chickenhawk like Rush should remember how well that worked in Vietnam, or in the early years of Iraq."
In both wars we changed the generals and had a winning military program. In Viet Nam the North Viet Nam generals later admited that they had lost when the left wing political pressure forced us out of the war. A new General with a different plan took us to winning the Iraq war. Going back to the Civil War it took Lincoln years to find the bulldog General Grant. He did not turn back after a break even battle or defeat but continually pressed the Confederate army. The Commander in Chiefs job is to fine the correct general and back him up. Obama is dithering.
"Military brass have told the White House that this is the first time in eight years that they have gotten the attention and resources that they’ve needed in Afghanistan."
Attention yes, What is needed no.
"W., on the other hand, was like a kid who knew that Daddy’s friends would take care of him; he was always running off to the gym or going biking, leaving the governing to his regents, Cheney and Rummy, or incompetents like Brownie."
The libs loved to rant about the golf that Bush played. Well what has Obama done? In 9 months he has played more golf that Bush did in 2 years and 10 months. And still the libs ignore the fact that Obama has had more play around time than Bush did. Libs love to ignore the clay feet of Obama.

Coming from Rush that is such a joke.
Reply
Not really. If you compare the number of Late Night Talk shows and publicity stunts between the two...and the whole last minute trip to Copenhagen...and even go as far back as the "JFK-like" speech in Germany to the world....Rush definately has a point.
Obama does seem a narcissist. Actually, what's funny is that Maureen Dowd is calling anyone a narcissist. -

"...the tactics of Limbaugh, Palin, Cheney & Fille are more cynical: They spin certainty, ignoring their side’s screw-ups, and they exploit patriotism, labeling all critics as traitors.
In an interview on “Fox News Sunday With Chris Wallace,” Limbaugh accused the president of trying to destroy the economy — yes, the same economy that W. came within a whisker of ruining.
“I have to think that it may be on purpose,” Limbaugh said, “because this is just outrageous, what is happening — a denial of liberty, an attack on freedom.”
Asked about Afghanistan, another W. cataclysm that has left Obama agonizing, Limbaugh stated, “I also don’t think he cares much about it.” Again suggesting that the president is an unpatriotic fop, the radio ranter averred: “He wants to manage this rather than achieve victory.”
He told Wallace that “throughout the Iraq war, it was Barack Obama and the Democrat Party which actively sought the defeat of the U.S. military.” Actually, rigorously examining the government’s conduct of a war started on false pretenses is the best sort of patriotism.
Asked about fellow conservative George Will’s contention that the United States should get out of Afghanistan, Limbaugh said, “I don’t have the benefit of knowledge that George Will has, so I trust the experts, and to me they’re the people in the U.S. military.”
Even a chickenhawk like Rush should remember how well that worked in Vietnam, or in the early years of Iraq. The founding fathers designated a civilian as commander in chief for a reason.
Military brass have told the White House that this is the first time in eight years that they have gotten the attention and resources that they’ve needed in Afghanistan.
If W. had gone to Dover in the middle of the night to salute the war dead, Limbaugh and Liz Cheney would have been gushing about his patriotism.
But since it’s Obama who at last showed up there to see the brutal cost of war, they simply have to dismiss the moving moment as a publicity stunt.
Years ago, when I dubbed Dubya “The Boy Emperor,” Limbaugh spewed a stream of personal invective about me that embarrassed even my mother, a Limbaugh fan.
But now Limbaugh calls Obama the “man-child president.”
The 48-year-old Obama is skinny and getting skinnier, but there’s nothing childish about him. He more or less raised himself and came to terms with his Oedipal demons on his own, and he radiates a hard-won maturity.
W., on the other hand, was like a kid who knew that Daddy’s friends would take care of him; he was always running off to the gym or going biking, leaving the governing to his regents, Cheney and Rummy, or incompetents like Brownie."
in the immortal words of eric idle, "need i say more?

I read the column this AM. Limbaugh, like Coulter, another political entertainer, is fundamentally irrelevant, beside the point.
Reply
Those who listen to him and nod in agreement--whose worldview is reinforced by what he says--are not about to countenance dissenting opinions.
There's only so much mileage to be gotten out of attacking him. Dowd and others would do better to ignore him. The threat grows only in proportion to the attention he receives. -

Anyone else notice the constant repetition from the liberals who run around trying to convince everyone that Limbaugh speaks for the GOP?
Reply
Limbaugh spews so much venom, that he makes himself an easy target. In the end, liberals prefer limbaugh to be the mouth piece because it helps them justify their hate toward the GOP.
The only person I ever met who admitted to listening to limbaugh, was a self-described Independent who voted for Obama. I guess his hypnotic trance didn't quite work.
Based on the number of strawman submissions about limbaugh, beck, et al, i would hazard a guess to say that liberals are actually the majority of their audience, and only because they hang on to his every word waiting to write their next article about how the GOP is the devil.-

Well, I guess that seals it. A guy watching a documentary about his year long campaign and rise to the highest office in the land from his start as the son of an immigrant goat herder is self-serving, immoral and narcissistic in the extreme. So sad.

As for Rush, in my opinion he is a narcissistic wind bag who found his niche and is working it for every last cent he can make from it.
Some republicans get offended when it is stated he is the GOP's spokesman. In large part you can blame him and his ilk for the Republican party being hijacked by the Neoconservatives. He is just a Neocon talking head who thrives on sensationalism and controversy.
If both the Republicans and Democrats alike would just ignore this joker and he will go away. He feeds off this conflict, it is part of what is making him rich.-

ROFLMAO, the right seems to love to say Rush doesnt speak for them but then rush to his defense at the drop of his hat defending what he says. There are some exceptions to this but for the majority of the right on propeller they deny he speaks for them yet seem to cant resist defending him.

My Fellow Americans: When you are Right, You are Right. Rush is Right 99.9% of the time. Radical Liberal Damocrats hate Rush because he speaks for Americans and the American Way of Life.
Reply
Who knows what O speaks for but it certainly not for the American People. Oh! he makes promises, he makes wonderful speeches, he makes wonderful parties, but he can't make or will not make the hard decisions that are needed to reverse his Freedom Killing, Debt Producing, Rampaging Unemployment Policies of the Last Year.
Ridiculing someone who speaks for Americans is a little Psychotic while Praising someone who is Psychotic is Totally Radical Liberalism. The Real American -
