How Two Elections Changed America »
Posted By ameliog 3 weeks, 1 day ago in Political OpinionTwo clandestine operations during hard-fought presidential elections of the past half century shaped the modern American political era, but they remain little known to the general public and mostly ignored by historians. One unfolded in the weeks before Election 1968 and the other over a full year before Election 1980.

Seriously, there are many other elections in the world. Why is America so influential, or their elections such a circus, that the whole world was intensely focused on their elections? Have some dignity. I practically HAD to know what was going on (I live in India) and what a joke

It may not be as important to someone from India but these two elections and secret foreign policy dealings by the GOP had a huge impact on the political landscape and two major parties in the U.S., and help explain the foundation of some of the "circus" you mentioned.

Simple. This is the financial capitol of the world and it has been that way for decades. This gives more financial influence to those in charge through which they seek to control, eventually, the entire world.
Every world leader has a price tag. The US leaders simply do their best to see to it that the price is met.
