Bachmann's Angry Mob »
Posted By Progressive 2 weeks, 2 days ago in Political OpinionThe gray-haired curiosity-seekers assembled by the Tea Party’s Wonder Woman, Michele Bachmann, in D.C. are part of the GOP purge that plays well on cable TV. But that’s not the party’s biggest threat.
The gathering of Tea Party sorts on Capitol Hill to hear Michele Bachmann and other Republican celebrities speak harshly about speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi appears as harmless as kite-flying, until you listen closely and hear the familiar obsessed sounds of cultists and cranks chanting, “Kill the bill! Kill the bill!”

These are peaceful marches. What do you have against free speech?

Fifty-seven percent disapprove of Obama's handling of health care policy compared to 42 percent who approve. In September, 51 percent approved and 47 percent disapproved.
With polls like this, I say, keep on NOT listening. 2010 is here soon enough...-

From the podium, Minority Leader John Boehner and Minority Whip Eric Cantor contributed trite trash-talk about the pending health-care reform vote in the House, but it was left to the Wonder Woman of the Tea Party, Michele Bachmann (R-MN), to cry out the over-the-top rhetoric that was cheered regardless of its incoherence: “You came. And you came to your house. And you came for an emergency house call. Are they going to listen? Oh, yeah, oh, yeah, they’re going to listen. It was Thomas Jefferson who said a revolution every now and then is a good thing. What do you think?” -

BUT, I am for intelligent and informed free speech. NOT mindless chants and misinformed demagoguery. That Republican mob exhibited all the symptoms of political programming and fanatical parroting of Republican lies and misinformation.
What do YOU have to say about the new CBO report that says the Republican alternative offered by Boehner would increase the number of uninsured, cost more, increase the deficit, and not offer protection for those with pre-existing chronic conditions?
Do you really want to kill the Democratic bill and pass the Republican version instead?

I watched an interview with one lady from this group. She was still under the impression that the health care bill included language that described death panels and rationed health care. I suppose that if this were true we would all be against health care reform, BUT IT'S NOT TRUE. Many people are against the new health care reform act being currently presented by both the the House and Senate because they are misinformed, lied to and misinformed again by the GOP and wing nuts like Bachmann. I have no problem at all with people disagreeing because of ideology or political rational but to disagree on policy because you are too stupid or ignorant to know the facts, well let's just say, you don't get my respect or ear.

They get their information once from a single source and they refuse to ever read opposing viewpoints. That is how these people work. They don't understand the concept of debate or compromise and they don't see anything as other than black and white.

Sarah Palin told them about "death panels" (although she basically voted for the same in Alaska and what they refer to as "death panels" already exist with current insurers) so it must be true. Would such a highly intelligent, church going mother of 5 lie to them? Never! She only speaks the gospel truth. Redneck women don't lie! And Obama does pal around with terrorists. Sarah also taught them that simplistic thinking is the best. Just don't think too hard and everything will be fine. Kind of like an intellectual lobotomy.
Of course Obama wasn't born here in the first place. He lied about that too. And he is planning a Socialist/Marxist/ Commie dictatorship! But he is going to destroy the economy first. That's his main objective. And enslave those on the Right that complain in FEMA camps while he opens the gate to the extremist Muslim hordes who are his buddies. Expect FoxNews to go black at any time now and Limbaugh to cease broadcasting. And God knows what they will do to that great patriot Glenn Beck? (insert tears and over emoting)
Obama is going to kill your Grandma and raise your taxes to the point you will never succeed. And redistribute the tiny little bit of wealth you do have to the poor (even though 70% of us don't have much to take). And you will freeze in the winter and burn in the summer because after cap and trade you wont be able to afford power anymore. Obama is going to urinate on the Flag and the Constitution on national TV someday soon. And don't ask him to cover his heart during the National Anthem because he just hates this place and all of the people. But you can't do anything about it because he is going to take your guns and ammo away too. The best idea would be to go ahead and start shooting now. Jefferson said it was OK!
Of course those above paragraphs are a joke but this is part of what you have to believe to be a Tea Party member, to think like a Bachmann. Yet there are probably hundreds of thousands who think this way if not millions? Since they inflate every crowd count it's kind of hard to tell.
Of course most of these people believe the Earth is about 5000-6000 years old and that dinosaurs rode on the Ark. And that the Grand Canyon was created in one fell swoop. They believed Terri Schiavo was a vibrant, active person. They secretly supported Tim McVeigh athough they know better than to say this publicly. Ask one of them directly and see the response! They view the likes of Limbaugh and Beck as intellectuals and anyone with a real college degree (and certainly those with post-graduate work) as somewhat sinister unless they went to Liberty U. or Bob Jones. They are IDIOT AMERICA! -

The Bachmann star turn—a Republican wag remarked, “Only in the insanity of politics could she be regarded as sane and hot”—followed another Election Day in which the party out of power showed that it has fallen so far from reason that it can celebrate another loss of a House seat.
Within hours of the completely unnecessary defeat in the New York 23rd, a result of the sabotage of the Club for Growth and its hirelings, there were chest-thumping boasts from the online precincts of National Review and RedState that a loss is as good as a win, that the true believers had raised up to smite the treacherous turncoat Dede Scozzafava in order to renovate the GOP.
The fact that the party had lost a seat it had held for a century, the fact that the Democrats has just gained another vote and that the GOP was going backward, was not much discussed during the inspired blame-shifting. Rush Limbaugh—who handed the Democrats a rallying point on election eve by smearing Scozzafava with the vulgar pun that she was “guilty of **********” with the RINOs (Republicans In Name Only)—blamed the Republican Party “bosses” for picking Scozzafava in the first place, without a primary. It is unclear if Limbaugh is ignorant about what a special election means—that is, a swift general vote to fill an empty seat in Congress—or if it was just inconvenient for him to check his script.
