I would advise you to "broader" your view and hope, for you, that you're one of the lucky ones making enough money to be able to pay an private insurance, with NO loopholes (for the insurance company), no maximum limits in price and time of needed care, e.g. a disease that needs (expensive) care for the rest of your live, no exclusion of (known or unknown) preexisting conditions, etc .......

And by the way, concerning your comment about "raising taxes", how come I don't see you complaining about paying taxes for: police, fireman, ambulances, roads, mp's, banks saved with tax money paying lobbyists with that same tax money, army (bigger budget then the rest of the major world countries, including Western Europe, China and Russia, put together), private army's in Irak paid with taxes, etc ....

First, you assume I care about needing a doctor. I'll live as long as I live and die when it's my time to die. Couldn't care less about seeing a doctor for every little wart on my big toe.
If you like to have a doctor look into your every little nook and crany and tell you daily what's right and what's wrong, FINE, get out your wallet.
And last, I do complain about paying so much for most of those things. We wouldn't need so many police if I could just shoot any one who I catch on my land stealing my stuff. I'm happy living on an old dirt road. Keeps the spoiled city people away. I would have been happy to see those banks left to fail on their own. Better managed banks would have taken their place. And the military, I believe, is financed by corporate taxes.

        Hummm,

        Very intelligent reply indeed.
I guess we all should start living in the jungle, and let "the fittest survive...", or in other words, "the law of the jungle"....

As for the army, actually, it's the other way around: your tax money is used to pay the army, who pays the corporates, who pay the lobbyists....

Oh, just in case, if ever I see you bleeding to death along the (old dirt) road, remind me NOT to help me, as otherwise, being a social human being, I would automatically start helping you..... I know, it's a stupid reflex ....
