I don't know much, but I do know that even a fist was once an open, happy hand.

    Sophia, an interesting post.

Note the title uses the plural Journalists. The third word in the Article and the lead-in uses the singular word "one" to denote the number of Foreign Journalists arrested.

Why do you think this little nit-pik occurred?

Freedom of the press is so important in any nation, that claims to be rulers for the people instead over the people.

All we have to do is to look at the worlds recent history to see what happens.
When freedom of the press and freedom of speech are curtailed in the censoring by government intervention. Used in the form of propaganda spewing "news" speeches put out for the publics consumption. Lies are propagated as being the truth, and truth is denounced as being unpatriotic.

Thinker, I don't know if what you wrote was meant to be false or not, you are probably just plain stupid, but either you mis-read what I wrote or as usual you are just spewing your usual dung.

I vote for the spewing dung, because I realize that your estimation of yourself vastly exceeds the reality.

You need to go back and read the article again and the lead in once again and then what I wrote in my initial comment.

If you do you will notice I wrote that the Article title used the Plural "Foreign Journalists" and that the article spoke of a singular "one" Foreign Journalist.

Come back on here and apologize once you realize the error of your "Thinking". I will forgive you. Somebody needs to give you some help.

God I wish I was as intelligent as you think you are, and wouldn't you rather be 1/2 the thinker the rest of us on here know you as? We then might be able to carry on a civil conversation.

But you've really just got crap for brains and so I guess the fact that you don't know it allows you the excuse that you are just utterly stupid.

Why don't you change your moniker to "StupidIis". We can just pity you then, because we will know you by your handle.

    Thinker

This is what I originally wrote:

"Note the title uses the plural Journalists. The third word in the Article and the lead-in uses the singular word "one" to denote the number of Foreign Journalists arrested.

Why do you think this little nit-pik occurred?"

    The following is the Title

    "Iran Arrests Foreign Journalists"

    Here is the lead in:

"Three journalists, one of them foreign, were arrested at Wednesday’s mass demonstrations in Tehran by a regime determined to suppress all independent sources of information."

You have got to be one of the most ignorant people on this thread to argue that what I originally wrote is not what is represented in the Title and the lead in. And that is what my original comment was. I think you are too low wattage to understand. And I believe that in an earlier encounter you claimed to be a Teacher, is that correct?

If you really are a Teacher, I'll bet your students make fun of you, but not to your face, They know a dipstick when they see one.

If you, Thinker, desire to have an intelligent conversation please continue. If not, that's OK with me too.

In fact the foreign journalists re real war mongers in a country that is going through some unrest. The western journalists are there to create more problem for the country, so the authorities are right in arresting them or deporting them. A government cannot just let an opposition ruin a country just because some people are not satisfied with the election result. Election in Afghanistan was the most corrupt one in the history of elections but now Hamid Karzi is a perfect leader because he is going along with the US interest in the region. The freedom is choosing sides There no real truth in the freedom of speech.
