    Cholesterol provokes a lot of diseases. But the fact that cancer - this is news to me.

      There are also several types of lymphoma that have been linked with low cholesterol levels. So there is a happy medium.

      I understand the quest for knowledge and all that; but much of the talk about "risk factors" spooks me. After all, many of us have the risk factors for at least one kind of cancer. What's left unsaid is whether risk factors are actually causative or something that just happens to be there. If only the latter, speaking about them may not be all that constructive.
