sorry for not getting back to this sooner. I mentioned strings attached , to me that would include an end to hostile actions by both sides, If the US is to recognize a Palestinian state I don't believe that it should be done unconditionally, to me that is sort of how his International Game is played

I read this comment and I thought what the hell just ignore it, since it is one of those questions that you are damned regardless of how you answer.

I have read many comments by many members about this topic, there are people who because of religion have their opinions, there are people who because of history have their opinions and there are people because of their hatred have their opinions, then there is a group of people who have an opinion because of a completely different line of thinking and that line of thinking doesn't really care about history, religion, or hatred since those three things tend to dwell to much in the past and at times in the example of religion try and chart the course of history for the future.
All of my life I have sought answers to questions and yes I have used history for references and I have at times used religion but I have never used hatred in trying to find an answer.
The question that you asked me is a question that looks at the situation in the past and maybe even todays situation concerning laws that exist, if that is where people choose to remain then the situation will not change but I am a person who looks to the future and puts some faith in mankind to change things.
I'm not against learning from history, religion or even acts of hatred, or as in your comment, laws that exist, but I believe in studying these things it is mankind that will change things in the future.
This is sort of way off topic but I will ask you a question which is sort of like the one you asked me.
As an American do you support a country and government that allows abortion?
No need to answer the question, it was asked just to make a point-

I disagree. You are only damned if you answer yes. If you support establishing a country that has such laws, where is your moral base? If Israel were to establish such a dispicable law, the liberals would be howling for her blood. And, what moral foundation can you use to contest those laws if someone wants to apply them in your country? After all, you failed to answer the question once.....maybe you'll fail to answer the question when it's closer to home.
That's OK, your non-direct answer is also an answer.
"but I am a person who looks to the future and puts some faith in mankind to change things."
That is one of the differences between us. I look to the future with one eye on the past and put my faith is in God.
"I'm not against learning from history, religion or even acts of hatred, or as in your comment, laws that exist, but I believe in studying these things it is mankind that will change things in the future."
And what have you learned? What are the chances that, having voted "yes" or "sitting out the decision (same thing)", positive changes will occur? Once a Palestinian State is established, how long before it acquires offensive weapons and attacks?
"This is sort of way off topic but I will ask you a question which is sort of like the one you asked me."
I don't see it that way, but no problem.
"As an American do you support a country and government that allows abortion?"
Yes, I do. As long as I don't have to pay for it. I don't see the connection or your point, but I don't feel damned because of my answer.
