The Democrats have a majority in both houses, what impediments are you speaking of? The impediment of incompetence which runs rampant in this administration and both democrat controlled houses?
Reply
Perhaps it is time the left stopped looking back to blame others than themselves and place blame squarely where it is due. On the backs of the democrats.

If you want no spin I suggest you watch FOX News. They present viewpoints from all sides; democrat/republican, liberal/conservative and everything else inbetween. They really are fair and balanced. Too much of the mainstream media seems to be infatuated with the Obama administration and have become biased because of it.

happy - a blog is a blog is opinion - you cannot call a blog real news unless itis backed up by a real news authority.

Of which, I will agree, there aren't any except Fox and NPR. Tough to find any in the other media, especially after white house staff and journalists get a "talking to" by the bosses if they talk with Fox news. -

This article you linked is nothing more than a rant about the Conservative media vs. obie.
The article linked to this thread shows results of obie's first 10 months. Do you have anything that disputes the article? Is unemployment actually lower than they state?

Caught flat-footed and un-prepared for 9/11. Even with advanced warning.

I find it interesting that you liberals are so racist. You all should be very ashamed of yourselves. Here you are holding a lilly white man to a higher standard than a black man. That is just wrong. Phil, I notice you hold Bush responsible for not doing enough to prevent 9/11, yet I can't seem to find any admonishments towards obie for letting Ft. Hood happen. Can you kindly direct us to a link that shows that you are not a racist, and that you hold a black man up to the same impossible criteria that you hold a white man to? -

In fairness, I don't think there was much the Bush administration could have done to prevent 9/11. In hindsight, sure, there were warnings, but it's not like these warnings were a particularly novel thing. It's the CIA's job to ferret out any potential threat to the US and bring them to the attention of the POTUS. Attacks on that scale were unprecedented.

Where Bush 43 failed was the incursion into Iraq (and tax cuts during a time of war (and the Katrina response)). -

okay. the first ten months. lets see...
Reply
from obama's first full month until now, the unemployment rate has gone up 2.1%
in the ten months preceeding obama, unemployment rose 2.6%
--
on obama's first day in office, the Dow closed at 7949.09
last friday (nov. 6) the Dow closed at 10,023.42
thats a rise of 2074.33 points, a 26% growth in our stock market since obama took over.
in the ten months preceeding obama, the stock market DROPPED 3691.03 points.
in fact, 2008 was the third worst performance year EVER for the Dow.
---
obama also created an office or Urban Policy in the white house in order to put a spotlight on America's struggling cities. thru this office and the reocvery act, the justice dept was able to secure $2 billion for Byrne Grants, which funds anti-gang and anti-gun task forces. This money was cut during the Bush years.
obama also put under federal protection more than two million acres of wilderness, thousands of miles of river and a host of national trails and parks when he signed the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 in late March. its the largest conservation effort in the last 15 years.
obama also...
well, you get the picture.
there's a whole lot more (like yesterday's health care reform passing thru the house)
one thing's for sure...
the guy has been WORKING!! -

I don't think that the government taking over a company can be described as socialism. Of course government must take over a company if that company or an organization is a failure. If the government pumps billions of trillions of dollars into bankrupt companies then the companies must be owned by the government because it is the public money and that should not be given to any failed company just because they failed and being a Hugh company. No company should think that it could fail and then government would comes to its rescue.

For every gain in the stock market, thousands of jobs are lost. The only barometer I care about is jobs, and tax receipts we cannot print, and borrow our way to prosperity.I don't know what day it will be,but soon I fear we will wake up one morning and find we have hit the wall. Our money will worthless,we will have lost our way the president will finally be exposed as an incompetent, and the children will look at us with tears running down their cheeks asking how,any why did you let this happen.

If your memory isn't selective memory, you will remember how the Media and the Radical Leftist Democrats like Hilary Clinton and John Kerry bashed President Bush for the shortage of flu shots 4 or 5 years ago. Where are these hypocritical, loud mouth, SOBs now that a flu shot shortage exists during O'Bama's watch?

I believe averting a 'Depression' is pretty major. Then again, I'm not like the obstructionists who focus on the negative for political reasons. Sadly, if not for the bailouts, America would have been responsible for an entire world collapse. Like I said, pretty major!

Where did Obama and his CARTEL learn to lie with such consistancy?

"Remember, as the media you must never take one step back. Never apologize for presenting false information as fact. Never admit that the propaganda is dishonest. The only way the cultural revolution can be won is to keep hitting and never give up. It may take years, decades even. but eventually our ceaseless battle to win over the minds of the impressionable will succeed. The ones who do not succumb will be ridiculed, and if necessary, silenced. Socialism is mankinds greatest experience, and the only way for the true masters of mankind to rule. Through state run education and the media, and its control over the flow of information, our war will be won."
