Sounds like you're the one who's scared. Not surprising. But, let's see....exactly what part is the "fearmongering" to you?
"Rendering them harmless" is the Nazi playbook? My goodness....I see you are as familiar with the Nazis as you are with everything else. The Nazis murdered Jews (and others). And they did it because they believed Jews were members of an inferior race not (like you would like to believe) because some Jews were "hateful".
Does it really bother you that I can see right through you....see you for what you really are? You and I both know the truth about you....how you feel about Jews....how you feel about your buddy Muslims like the one who murdered American soldiers...We both know the truth....why don't you admit it?-

Who wouldn't be scared of a bunch of fearmongering, angry, poorly educated people with guns calling for the overthrow of a duly elected government?

When it's being shouted by people who also talk about overthrowing the government and collecting guns to do so, it's an euphemism. So yes.

I think the vast majority of Jews are exactly like the vast majority of Palestinians: moderates caught in the games being played by extremists. Both wanting a peaceful solution to a difficult situation.

I don't know any Muslims like the one who murdered American soldiers excepting the ones I read about. They are extremists and represent a small minority. The fact that you can't distinguish between an extremist ideologue who went nuts and Muslims who live peacefully says much more about you and your issues than anything else.

I have some shocking news for you. TERRORISTS HAVE BEEN AROUND A LONG TIME. Don't you remember the 80's? The bombings all across Europe? It's not like all of the sudden there is a threat. That threat has been here for years. Bush only exploited your fear after 9-11 and made them more real for you. Reagan didn't give two craps about the terrorists bombing Europe. Yes, terrorists will attack us again. That is a given. But it is more likely than not because of small minded morons who believe that all muslim men and women and children are evil.
Personally I find it offensive that the article tries to put forth the idea that liberals are less patriotic than someone who voted for their children to die in a needless war because they put a sticker on their car or wear a flag pin.

Actually, I was being specific to Dionys who regularly condemns Israeli reprisals while saying nothing about Muslim attacks against Jews.
