    "There is no logically valid argument for "there is a god" that I've ever seen. People passionately talk about practices that religions cling to, but that doesn't make them religious. There are workable practices that have nothing to do with religion or a god, goddess, totem, etc. that have been coopted by religions. I'm sure ancients just added new understandings to their bags of tricks that were based partially on folklore and their own efforts to understand the mysterious.

    So, although a vast majority of people have been enculturated to "believe" in a deity, there is still no logically valid argument for one.

    If you want to argue that "belief" itself is a potent tool, that can afford positive outcomes, then I can buy that. There IS logically valid argument for the efficacy of belief.
