I understand that's your goal and it's an admirable one.

However if you're going to share something you should know everything you can possibly know about it and go into the depth of study that Christ and God requires you to go into before you share something irresponsibly.
I agree that you and I will likely always disagree on this matter. But I also hope that you will not think (as you have said in your posts) that I revile you. As I've said before, for the vast majority of your understandings of the world, Christ and God I think you are one of the most orthopraxic Christians I 'know.' I think most people see that.
We just disagree on some minor points. Minor points that for some reason occupy the minds of neo-Evangelicals more than the major points regarding our duty to those without, to the poor, to the sick and hungry. You will disagree and say that we disagree on 'big' points, no doubt. But then that's part of the cycle of disagreement.
Anyhow, I don't want you to think I revile you or your beliefs. I don't even revile the fact that you don't want to move beyond dogmatic interpretation of the Bible in English. I just don't think that you, or anyone for that matter, can have a complete understanding of God's word without examining every passage and every part in detail, including the original language and intent. Certainly you can get an enormously big picture. But that is one of love, community and Table Fellowship.

Before you can love/forgive other people you have to be able to love/forgive yourself.

CBG do it and move on for gama made his choices for gama and no one else. We all do that. Hence the differences of opinion.
I'm an agnostic by inclination, and I've had some vicious running battles, sometimes almost coming to blows, with Christians, and of course Muslims, over the supposed intent of the word of God, as we his creation interpret it. However I still find a persons commitment to and show of faith in a 'Higher Spiritual Power' a refreshing reminder that some of us can and do believe in something greater than the 'images' we create of ourselves.
Also, the Bible gets this one right, it is always a good and practical policy to be wary of people of a 'different mind set' in what ever you attempt to do as a group while working to achieve a goal.-

AKA as paranoia?
Quite simply, any individual who puts ALL his/her faith in an outside authority - whether it be political/religious/spiritual/pagan or any other kind, even another human - diminishes their responsibility for their actions, thoughts and beliefs and becomes less of a true human.
No one here hates cbgp or despises him - however nor does anyone really like being preached AT.
