  Got it. I was a little confused because a lot of your equations and several with a slight modification, are absolutely true of several of the best features of Communism. Anti-racism (and classism), feminism, protecting the oppressed, advanced education, treating health problems, not being religious, were and are all laudable social goals. Admitedly , the Communist record wasn't so good when it came to gays and private family decisions.

    the communist ideal may have sounded nice on a number of topics, but the record wasn't good on anything.
