    i agree with bacalao.

    the man was an officer on active duty; he allegedly discharged sidearms killing his fellow soldiers on a us army base. he's clearly subject to the ucmj.

    why would he be tried in a civilian court?

    regarding your post slate, would you like to explicitly state what you mean, or is your comment a thinly veiled reference to those individuals interned at guantanamo bay?

      It wasn't veiled it was exactly about those in GB. Most were captured on the battle field and should not be tried in civil court IMO.
