Did a rally geared at saving government resources actually misuse them?

Could be, at least technically. Rep. Michele Bachmann's House home-page shout-out to tea party types for her Nov. 5 rally on the West Front steps may have violated the letter of the administration committee's rules on the use of official, taxpayer-funded websites.

Gotta be carefull using the taxpayers websites. It was her house homepage. With that in mind, people most likely to read it would have been her supporters, don't you think? She could have kept the message generic and simply called ALL people to come express their opinions to their representatives and got mostly those opposed to the bill.
She had plenty of free airtime on Fox to get her agenda publisised legaly.
Too bad she had to get snagged like this. She had a good thing going.

Can't help but wonder how many government resources have been used to promote this $H!+ barrel of a health reform bill.

I guesse it's all in how you word it.

"May not include grass-roots lobbying or solicit support for a member's position"

Go to Grammy Nancy's home page and open her Press Releases and Statements...
    http://www.house.gov/pelosi/press/press.html
then tell me if she isn't soliciting support for her position on healthcare reform as you read down through something like this...
    http://www.house.gov/pelosi/press/releases/Nov09/t...
That's called a press release. It's all in how you word it.
