We were right in line with all the others who called bush a chimp, or an imbecile. But we are now some of his biggest fans, for his indomitable spirit and his ability to do the right thing.
Where were Barack and Michelle Obama? Not there.

"As we will always be grateful for what George and Laura Bush did this week, with no media attention, when they very quietly went to Ft. Hood and met personally with the families of the victims of this terrorist attack.

The Bushes went and met privately with these families for HOURS, hugging them, holding them, comforting them."
God bless the former President and First Lady. I heard about them going to Fort Hood, but there wasn't much media attention about their visit.
As it should be.
They didn't go to Fort Hood for a photo op. -

Along with most Conservatives, I didn't agree with a lot of things he did when he was president. However, HE IS A TRUE AMERICAN as evidenced by his conduct here. Compassion for our troops, without the glory of a media circus, is a true indication of the integrity of the former President and First Lady.
