if George Bush was an idiot?? »

Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?

So the israel-first pseudo-jewish zionist criminals have yet another propaganda site (as usual hiding behind a misnomer) and the zionist propagandists are trying to promulgate yet more silly propaganda to Americans.
Reply
It really is time to wash this foreign propaganda out of our media. We don't need the silly "hasbara" campaigns that the right -wing zionist extremists are aiming at the Obama administration to try to protect their crimes against humanity. Those who support and promulgate efforts by the israeli government (which are from the top directed by Netanyahu) are in fact guilty of treason.
Given that the israeli government is now paying zionists to insert "favorable" propaganda in the internet, one has to wonder if people like Avoth are actually being paid by a foreign government to inflict Americans with propaganda.
How Low Will Israel Stoop in Its Propaganda War?
http://www.propeller.com/story/2009/09/17/how-low-...
'The Israel Project', a US media advocacy group, has produced a revised training manual to help the worldwide Zionist movement win the propaganda war, keep their ill-gotten territorial gains and persuade international audiences to accept that their crimes are necessary and conform to 'shared values' between Israel and the civilized West.
The manual teaches how to justify the slaughter, the ethnic cleansing, the land-grabbing, the cruelty and the blatant disregard for international law and UN resolutions, and make it all smell sweeter with a liberal squirt of the aerosol of persuasive language. It is designed to hoodwink us ignorant and gullible Americans and Europeans into believing that we actually share values with the racist regime in Israel and that its abominable behaviour is therefore deserving of our support.
And the manual will no doubt serve as a communications primer for the army of cyber-scribblers that Israel’s Ministry of Dirty Tricks is recruiting to spread Zionism’s poison across the internet....
...And Here’s the Rationale Behind it.... Israel does not want peace. It has never met its peace agreement obligations. Every action is directed at keeping the conflict going until the Israelis have stolen enough land and established enough 'facts on the ground' - Jews-only settlements, highways, disconnected Palestinian bantustans - to enable them to redraw the map to suit their expansionist agenda and make the occupation permanent.
Note how Israel’s strategy is almost totally dependent on the false idea that they are victims of terror and western nations need to huddle together with Israel for mutual protection. Fortunately, level-headed people are beginning to realize who the terrorists really are.
It is surely obvious by now that allowing parallels to be drawn between Israel and America only serves to increase the world’s hatred of America. US citizens need to wake up to this, and British citizens should avoid falling into the same trap.

Our Obligation to Respect and Promote Human Rights
The Israel Project describes itself as “devoted to educating the press and the public about Israel while promoting security, freedom and peace”. It provides journalists, leaders and opinion-formers with “accurate information about Israel”.
However its propaganda manual, which runs to 116 pages, is an unpleasant piece of work which recycles many of the discredited techniques used by the advertising industry before standards of honesty, decency and truthfulness were brought in to protect the public.
And it serves to undermine with clever words the inalienable rights pledged by the UN and the world’s civilized nations to all peoples, including the Palestinians.
When you have to stoop this low you simply don’t have a case. -

At least this was submitted under Humor because thats all that it is? And in reality the American consumer has been bowing before the Sauds for decades.

You could setup a list like this for every President versus the one that preceded. It's totally meaningless. But Obama is not a gaffe machine as Bush himself admitted to being. But of course you can find examples of Obama making gaffes. Wonder how many total hours of public speaking time he has had since he became a viable candidate. Bush should have used teleprompters by the way. He still read speeches from paper. What is the difference? Purely technical. If Bush had been a great leader his foibles would have been overlooked. He wasn't. So they were instead emphasized.
As for bowing to the Saudi's, that was the Bush families mission in life prior to GW ticking them off because of Iraq. The Bushes didn't just bow before these men they gave them complete use of their homes and any other required amenities while they were in the States. They also spirited important Saudi's out of America post 9/11 to protect them from retaliation.
In summation (because it would be a complete waste to address these one by one) if you get a laugh from this list so be it. But if you think it has any relevance to the real world you are only continuing down the delusional path you have always trod. -

"If he wasn't an idiot, why didn't he plan past 6 months in Iraq?"
Reply
That is because he had nothing to do with the planning...neither of the invasion or post war.
The sad part is that the neocons spent at least 5 years in planning at PNAC and AEI. Iraq was always the target. This wasn't a decision made on 9/12/01 it was made immediately after GH Bush backed away rather than pushing into Baghdad back in the early 90's. Something Cheney in particular had never agreed with, 9/11 was simply the excuse. They had even previously referred to such an event as "a new Pearl Harbor" that would be necessary to the realization of their plans. I am not a conspiracy theorist and have seen nothing to lead me to believe that 9/11 was an inside job. OBL simply provided what was needed. One of the reasons I believe the hunt for him was secondary from the start.
GW Bush was never really a neocon. He still certainly isn't someone they would look to for advice even now. They controlled his foreign policy as he was such a neophyte to foreign policy he allowed this out of fear of exposure of his ignorance. Whatever happened in Philadelphia in 2000 forced him to cede FP decisions to the neocons. Only later did the likes of Gates and Petreaous.finally get his ear. Only after his approval rating had gone from +90 to the low 20's.
I don't like to think of GW as an idiot. Rather an exceedingly simple man elevated to the loftiest job in the land by his blue blood family name and the cleverness of his advisors like Rove. He never really belonged in politics certainly not national politics with the big boys like Cheney. They used him and spit him out.

I'm sick to death of this teleprompter nonsense. Yes, Obama uses teleprompters, so did Reagan, so did Bush 41, so did Clinton, so did Bush 43 (with the hard words spelled fo-NET-ick-alley). Before teleprompters, speakers used note cards. Before note cards, people used stacks of paper, papyrus, clay tablets, etc...

Fox News' Major Garrett was able to ask a questions at two Obama press conferences. Not every press attendee gets to ask a question.

Fox didn't even deign to air one of Obama's press conferences (though Fox News did). I guess 'Lie To Me' was deemed more 'important' to the American people.
Baier and Goler from Fox are still members of the White House Press Corps.
Besides, how can you complain when the Bush administration allowed a non-credentialed former gay prostitute, with a fake name, no less, lob a softball question? -

Klarissa.......you really want to be careful about going down this road because Obama has already done more open press conferences with all press present in his first 9 months, than Bush did throughout his entire 8 years. He's also brought Helen Thomas back to the front of the press room where she belongs, instead of in the back row where she'd been delegated by Bush for asking the wrong questions and putting him on the spot. Bush is the one who pre-screened the press and refused to answer any question not on his agenda.
Reply
That isn't what Obama does...that's what Bush did. I've seen Obama answer hard questions by all members of the press. The same cannot be said for the whole of the Bush presidency. You need to get over the fact that Obama has called out Fox for their inaccurate and libelous reporting style. At least his accusations are based in fact, unlike the same claims made by Bush against MSNBC during his presidency. MSNBC never fabricated stories or perpetuated lies against Bush the way Fox News has against Obama.

Bush used teleprompters or PAPER for practically EVERYTHING he said in public. And then he STILL could not utter a complete sentence that made any sense. Moreover, when he did attempt to talk 'without any assistance', he made even LESS sense.

The whole list is laughable.

If George Bush bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia? No...he just walked around the White House grounds for photo ops of them HOLDING HANDS. That's better than an obligatory bow upon meeting?
If George Bush gave the wrong gifts? No.......he just crossed the very basic cultural norm of "keep your hands to yourself" when he jumped up and molested the German Chancellor by giving her an uninvited and unwanted back rub.
If George Bush spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on Laura for a play in NYC? No.........but how much money did he waste throughout his eight years skipping off to Crawford for vacation instead of staying in Washington and doing his job? His vacation tally far exceeded EVERY president, and the cost for each trip likely rivaled that ONE trip to NYC.
If George Bush needed a teleprompter? No.......he just stood at the podium and proved his idiocy each time he did so without "help"....that's why they wired him for that televised debate, trying and failing to hide the box on his back.
If George Bush had been Spanish illiterate? Well, to the best of my knowledge, Vicente Fox hasn't yet referred to Obama as "all hat, no horse" when referring to his personality and job performance like he did George W Bush.
If Bush doubled the national debt that took two centuries to build? Um.....you really need to rethink this assertion since he was handed a balanced budget with a projected surplus and turned it into the greatest deficit in the shortest period of time in all of American history. Had he not undone all of Bill Clinton's budget work, we would be completely BALANCED today and such "reinvestment" that Obama is being forced to do would be unnecessary.
I could go on and on and on...but you get the picture.
