Sounds like a recognition that much more is screwy in Afghanistan... I'm GLAD Obama is "dithering" (Thinking it out before jumping in with guns blazing). If we can't define a mission, can't explain the strategy,...WTH are we doing there?

As we all know Obama inherited this mess. The real problem is no one seems to be able to articulate what the mission is. If it's al qaeda, well they are mostly in Pakistan by all accounts. Nation building? really? Afghanistan won't be a 51st state anytime soon. So what's the mission? Anyone know?

Obama was in the senate when the war started and was well aware there was a war going on when he ran for president. He knew he was going to be Commander in Cheif and would need a plan. He has been in office for almost a year now. There is NO present vote on this one. He needs to make a decission!

The only problem is there is No present vote anymore. Knowing he was going to run for president Obama should had been thinking what his plan would be there if he was elected. Now after almost a year in office there is NO clear decission. I do not think one can call that taking your time and thinking. I think he doesn't know what he wants to do there OR is being so pulled from the left that he cannot make a decission on his own.
