Obama rejects all war options in Afghanistan »

A senior administration official says President Barack Obama doesn't plan to accept any of the Afghanistan war options presented by his national security team. All options presented included increasing troop levels. Obama wants more strategic options, doesn't feel troop increases alone will work.

    Sounds like a recognition that much more is screwy in Afghanistan... I'm GLAD Obama is "dithering" (Thinking it out before jumping in with guns blazing). If we can't define a mission, can't explain the strategy,...WTH are we doing there?

      As we all know Obama inherited this mess. The real problem is no one seems to be able to articulate what the mission is. If it's al qaeda, well they are mostly in Pakistan by all accounts. Nation building? really? Afghanistan won't be a 51st state anytime soon. So what's the mission? Anyone know?
