I have no idea why he married a Mexican, but it seems he's alienated most Latinos in America:

“Our contention all along was that Lou Dobbs – who has a long record of spreading lies and conspiracy theories about immigrants and Latinos – does not belong on the ‘Most Trusted Name in News,’” said Roberto Lovato, co-founder of Presente.org, a national online advocacy organization coordinating the BastaDobbs.com campaign in conjunction with more than 40 local and regional Latino organizations from across the country. “We are thrilled that Dobbs no longer has this legitimate platform from which to incite fear and hate.”-

This nation has been ran over by imports of foriegn goods, and now the politicians are turning their heads so the people not only have to compete with imported goods, but with imported labor as well.
He has earned my respect, and I certainly agree with what he has said so far.
Face it, the republickin's want the illegals because they add to the labor pool providing cheap labor. The Dems want the illegals because they are a minority and the provide a good sized voting block.
Neither party is willing to stand up for the American worker. (After all, when was the last time you hired a lobbyist?)-

In 1996, Congress enacted the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act, making it a federal crime for non-citizens to vote in any federal election (or state election, unless authorized by state law). As a penalty, ineligible non-citizens who knowingly vote may be deported. Additionally, a non-citizen who falsely claims to be a United States citizen is in violation of this law.
