I think this just shows that time and time again people try to forecast the end of the world and try to use it to their financial gain. Afterall, when you instill fear into people; it results in great book sales. I wonder what would happen if the TRUTH were really told? It would be a brave new world for every human being on the planet.

Wasn't there one in the early 1990's? Alignment of the planets was supposed to cause super-high tides. Then there was the "Ice Age" scare in the later 1970's. Neither was "End of the World" precisely; but they were certainly major disaster forecasts.

So for billions of years the earth does what it wants I'll be cold, hot, cold ,hot Etc;So since the industrial revolution of 150 years or so we are doomed. It has caused that much damage, I think not and to all the crack pots who think this please get off the crackpipe and start concerning yourself with real problems ( socialism, unemployment,Iran , North Korea, Health care debacle, Cap and tax) that this administration is creating, I know Bush did it. He did something real stupid by letting Barney Frank C. Dodd give everybody mtgs that they could not afford and bailing out those morons(TARP) . But Obama is doing nothing except still campaigning GOD BLESS AMERICA YES GOD BLESS AMERICA

I was also thinking about 12/21/12 too. In fact there's a movie out today about it.....even the Myan calendar shows the world ends on that day. Kinda strange also that other ancient civilization's calendars have the same "end" date.....or maybe they just ran out of space.

I was thinking the same, maybe 2012 was so far ahead of where they were that they just stopped, I mean how much farther were they to go, anyway? It's all a bunch of crap, we need to worry more about what's happening here, RFID chips anyone?
