I support this action and hope they win. If private contractors can still work for our government and continue to be funded when they've committed crimes that makes anything ACORN is accused of, trivial in comparison, then Congress should also eliminate their funding.

FTA: No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.
According to the online Tech Law Journal, a bill of attainder is any legislative act that singles out a person or group of persons for any form of punishment without benefit of a trial.

"At first, ACORN on numerous occasions suggested that the federal funds constituted merely a "small part" of their budget, this although on that same day they suspended their services in Ohio. But today, in their legal pleadings, they state that the loss of federal funding has affected them in other ways and caused them to lose their credit and several private foundation grants. Bertha Lewis, the head of ACORN, now publicly states that ACORN might not survive."

    awwwwwwww!

I'm sure most of the liberals will allow them to have more funds so they can engage in child prostitution and their other savory practices.

The righties as usual have their undies in a wad. Funding will in all liklihood be resotred since it was Acorn reporting the malfesance. I cant see how the right can possibly support interfering in the internal workings of an organization registering voters after vehemently rejecting the Franken amendment for holding back payment to KBR for the gang rape and then detainment (under the law righties that is called kidnaping she was held against her will) of an employee. But when you place party over country that is waht you get.

ACORN organizes and empowers poor people.

That's why the right really hates ACORN.
