Posted By TimALoftis 1 week, 3 days ago in Business & FinanceDETROIT, Nov 13 (Reuters) - Ford Motor Co (F.N) plans to develop an all-new police interceptor car to replace the Crown Victoria law enforcement vehicle lineup in 2011, the automaker said on Friday.
Ford, the No. 2 U.S.-based automaker behind General Motors Co [GM.UL] in terms of overall sales, sells 45,000 police vehicles each year in the United States, or about 75 percent of the total. It will end production of the Crown Victoria in late 2011.
