Ever had a look at the map of the "border" that was unilaterally imposed (they never recognized it) on North Korea by us? Over a 100 miles north of South Korea, we claim the "border" runs within about 3 miles of the North Korean coast and cuts in half a whole chain of islands. Seems they have a legitimate complaint.

Could it be that they view Obama the way many of us do - as another Jimmy Carter? Jimmy was the best friend the North Korean dictator ever had, much as he was the best friend to the Ayatollah in Iran.

Obama seems to want to follow in Carter's footsteps.-

Well here is our extreme right-wing israel-firster again trying to sow hatred amongst Americans. You really should change your avatar. Your first loyalty is not to America.

As for Carter, he was probably the best chance the zionists ever had of getting off their currently suicidal pathway.

Klarissa, are you being intentionally dishonest in your post or did you misunderstand the article? I read it and nowhere does it say that the President is going to N. Korea. Here is what it does say:
Reply
"We are open to a bilateral meeting as part of the six-party process if that will lead to an expeditious resumption of the denuclearization negotiations," Obama said in an interview with the South's Yonhap news agency.
North Korea for nearly a year has boycotted the six-way talks aimed at having it scrap its nuclear program in exchange for aid to rebuild its broken economy and a better diplomatic standing that could help it receive international finance.
"North Korea's attempt to acquire weapons of mass destruction and the means to deliver them is destabilizing and represents a threat to peace and security," Obama said.
Analysts said Washington would not have signed off on the visit of its envoy Stephen Bosworth unless it had assurances Pyongyang would return to disarmament talks."
Do you need me to explain what this means? -

If you remember during the primaries, Obama went to Germany/France and avoided Petraus and the troops to further his campaign. Why do you figure he is having such a hard time with more troops to Afganistan. He also has a secretary of state, Hillory, who doesn't talk to Generals after calling Petraus a liar in front of the whole country. Isn't it nice to have such leadership.

To resolve the conflict you need to double defensive forces in the south, and completely cut off the north from the world. Sink their navy and airforce with a pre-emptive strike. Destroy all nuclear facilities with deep penetration bombs. Make no attacks on civilian or govornment centers. They can not move north to china, they can not move south to S.K./U.S. positions without slaughter. Japanese navy will patrol the N.K. seas. Forcing them into an effective "seige" of an entire country. During wich, any organized military force on the part of the N.K. should be hit with precision munitions. Keeping morale low and tensions high within the country. Kim will either die eventually, or yeild due to starvation and public unrest/revolution.

When are we going to fire the government or better yet sue them for not doing their job! it seems that this country is wants to help everyone but those who prop-up these worthless sob's. I have no problem with helping others, but if the house is on fire lets put the fire out first, then start over. It seems that alot of people would rather sit around and roast marshmellows and talk about how pretty the flames are!
