But there are plenty of examples that the human race is still evolving, including our brains, and there are even signs that our evolution may be accelerating.
Shrinking brains and lactose intolerance are two signs that human evolution is still at work.

I have noticed that people today look very different from people in the thirties, fourties, and fifties just from watching older movies. Body shapes seem to have changed some and so have faces. Although its hard to say how much of this is attributable to cultural conditioning versus genetic factors. Its not easy to describe how people looked different back then, but I believe that natural selection may still be a force within our society.

Although if one looks at the statues from Ancient Greece, the archetype of perfection in human form as portrayed in their art does not seem too far removed from the body of a modern athlete. I have often wondered what people would have looked like a thousand years ago if we could see them in the flesh. If you look at the armor from the renaissance era, the most notable thing is how small in frame most people were. -
