New research has shown that acute leukemia patients who are transplanted with two units of umbilical cord blood have significantly reduced risk of the disease returning.

    where were they out a year ago? my mother-in-law had this exact disease and was given 2 cord blood transplants and still passed within 3 months of the first transplant.
