The troops in the field (not including the decorated officers) are not concerned with photo-ops that were the signature of GWB and his sycophants who visited Iraq and Afghanistan over the last eight years. The non-coms simply want to know what their true mission and objectives are.
How would this be provided by a photo-op trip to Afghanistan by President Obama?

maybe we can get GWB to take his motivational speaking tour over there and give the troops a morale boost. Take a few plastic turkeys with him and pretend like he gives a $hit.

Obama goes to Afghanistan: He is grandstanding, wasting the taxpayers'
money, should be taking care of business at home.

Obama does not go to Afghanistan: He does not support the troops, he is
not really an American, he gives comfort to the enemy.

      Take your pick!

Well if you don't know what your doing,it's better to travel to countries thousands of miles in the opposite direction. The same goes for the economy.and jobs you make a long winded speech about things totally unrelated.I personally believe we should take a serious look at Biden's take on Afghanistan.Pull the back to an area to protect the people, and themselves then mass produce the drones, and arm them with various weaponry, including daisy cutters, napalm, and all personnel annihilation weapons. Then if the government has a problem with collatrial damage shut it down, and bring them home
