Australian PM Kevin Rudd has apologised to the hundreds of thousands of people, some British migrants, who were abused or neglected in state care as children.

    This is an absolutely horrific story. I listened to it on BBC last night.
    Listening to some of the survivors was heartbreaking.
    Before these children were being shipped off to Australia they were being sent to Canada.

    As a Canadian, I am waiting for my country to apologize. Absolutely horrid what happened to these kids.

      Terrible. Every culture has its secrets. Some of ours are the US 'Indian Schools.' The Eugenics project. Medical AIDS trials being perpetrated on foster children. Sexual abuse statistics of children under state (foster) care. Mankind has a long way to go on the evolutionary scale.
