Reports: Black Cop Stopped Fort Hood Shooter »

The gun that took down Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan in a deadly shootout last week at Fort Hood was actually fired by Sgt. Mark Todd, an African-American policeman, according to The New York Times.

The initial report that attracted national media attention suggested that Sgt. Kimberly D. Munley, who is white, fired the shots that stopped Hasan. Why? Because Munley told reporters - and the nation - that she was the shooter.

    It's a shame that Sgt. Mark Todd did not get the accolades that D. Munley did. They are both Hero's in my book.

      Once again we see the Pentagon lying to Americans. We are regularly inundated with Pentagon lies from their "public propaganda" program - which exceeds the "public communication" infrastructure of all of the rest of the government put together.

      they both were very heroic.

      and why would we care if the hero was man or woman, gay or straight, black, white or brown?

      we're just grateful that someone stepped up.
