Other SSRIs include paroxetine, setraline, escitalopram, citalopram, and nefazodone, which are all also known by popular brand names – Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Lexapro, Celexa, and Serzone. More than 20 years later, the mechanism by which this popular class of drugs treats depression is still being determined even while many use them to alleviate their psychological symptoms.

I was on them for 10 years and finally had to wean myself off. I became a zombie. No emotion at all.....someone could have told me someone in my family died and I would just sit there and not even cry. Nothing made me happy either. Just moderate....it took me about a year to get completely off them. It was pure hell.

My depression is manageable and I am so glad I got off that shiat. It may be good for others, but after 10 years for me, it was just making me a zombie. What kind of life is that? No feelings at all?
